Positions open for Singleton Shire Community Consultative Committee

April 14, 2020

Nominations are currently open for the appointment of local community members to a joint Community Consultative Committee (CCC) in the Singleton Shire.

Voluntary positions in the Mt Owen Complex (Glendell Operations and Integra Underground) CCC will provide an opportunity for interested stakeholders to engage in a dialogue with the mining proponent and other key representatives of community groups and local councils on issues directly relating to the projects.

Nominations are encouraged from a mix of people who live locally or are members of a stakeholder group (e.g. community, environment, Aboriginal or industry).

Successful nominees will be expected to contribute constructively to committee discussions, attend around 2 (two) meetings a year, and communicate information about the Mt Owen Complex operations between the committee and the broader community.

Those interested in applying are encouraged to download a copy of the relevant nomination form at either www.mtowencomplex.com.au or www.glencore.com.au/IntegraUnderground

Alternatively, you may contact Lisa Andrews (Independent Chair) on 0401 609 693 for more information.

Please note that applications must be lodged by 22 April 2020 and sent to the Independent Chairperson of the Community Consultative Committee via email at lisaandrews.ic@gmail.com, or via post to PO Box 6017 Lake Munmorah 2259.
