We are interested in supporting local businesses who can deliver the scope of work we need to achieve the best value and outcomes for our clients. Our supply chain is centrally managed in Brisbane and supported by local project resources in the Hunter Valley.

It is important that suppliers share our values of Integrity, Delivery, Innovation, Accountability – all underpinned by Safety. Thiess’ procurement process is primarily based around ensuring the integrity and accountability of our supply chain.

By registering through the Thiess website, your company name will be entered into the Thiess database and reviewed when Thiess next goes to market for that category of work. Thiess independently schedules sourcing based on demand or changes to the market.

Contract/Purchase RangesTo enlist a supplier Thiess is required to:
– Obtain three quotes for all procurement activities;
– Generate a contract for all subcontracted and servicing works; and
– A purchase order will need to be raised for goods valued under $20,000.
Pre Qualification ProgramTo progress from registration to pre-qualification suppliers of goods and services will be asked to complete Thiess’ Third-Party Anti-Bribery, Corruption and Business Integrity Declaration form.
 
Depending on the category and scope of work to be delivered, suppliers of goods and services may also need to provide information about other management systems including. health, safety, quality, environment and where relevant proof of insurances.
Post-Tender FeedbackYes, Thiess will provide post-tender feedback to unsuccessful suppliers upon request.
Professional Indemnity InsuranceIf the category of work involves providing advice, direction or design, then professional indemnity insurance is required.
 
If suppliers are unsure whether their business is required to have professional indemnity insurance, it is best to get in touch with a Thiess representative by emailing supplychain@thiess.com
Public Liability InsuranceThiess requires all suppliers of services to have public liability insurance with a minimum cover of $20 million.
Products Liability InsuranceThiess requires all suppliers of services to have products liability insurance with a minimum cover of $20 million.
Workers Compensation InsuranceWorkers Compensation Insurance is required by law if providing services.
Quality Assurance SystemIf a supplier does not have its own certified internal systems and the work undertaken requires quality system documentation, the supplier will need to complete Thiess’ documentation.
WH&S SystemIf the supplier does not have its own certified internal systems and the work undertaken requires health and safety system documentation, the supplier will need to complete Thiess’ documentation.
ABN/ACNYes, Thiess requires all suppliers to provide both an ABN and ACN.
