The Upper Hunter Mining Dialogue (UHMD) is seeking passionate and motivated young people aged 18 to 30 to form the Youth Advisory Group.

The Youth Advisory Group aims to bring together a diverse group of young people from across the Upper Hunter Region to provide a fresh perspective on the challenges and opportunities related to mining and its impacts on the community, environment and future workforce.

What is the Youth Advisory Group?
The Youth Advisory Group is a new initiative by the UHMD to bring together diverse young voices from the Upper Hunter. This group aims to tackle the challenges and opportunities surrounding mining and its impact on our community, environment, and economy.

There is a gap in the UHMD membership, with no active members under 30 years of age. The Youth Advisory Group is intended to fill this gap, bringing in fresh ideas and perspectives to inform the Dialogue’s work.

  • Impactful Opportunities: Your voice will directly inform UHMD projects and initiatives, ensuring that balanced perspectives across the board
  • Voluntary Membership: Membership is voluntary (any out-of-pocket expenses will be covered)
