Our virtual reality experience allows viewers to visit a working mine site without setting foot in a mine while learning about the mining process and rehabilitation techniques.
The Dialogue’s Virtual Reality Experience allows people to visit a working mine without ever setting foot in a mine.
Using 3D Virtual Reality video googles people can experience a mine tour from the comfort of a chair.
As well as viewing and learning about the lifecycle of a mine, from exploration to final rehabilitation, viewers can view a blast, “drive” a haul truck and “operate” giant coal loaders.
The Virtual Reality video which gives a 360 degree view is accompanied by a narration explaining the impacts and benefits of coal and its mining in the Upper Hunter.
If you’re interested in viewing these resources, the Dialogue showcases these at our forums and community event display stalls, and is showcased via classroom learning presentations as part of our School Mine Tours Program.
The Dialogue has been busily preparing a mobile-ready version of the Virtual Reality Experience for use by our community stakeholders, and we are excited to present this resource.
