The Upper Hunter Mining Dialogue will be holding a 2024 Community Forum in Singleton on Tuesday 29 October 2024.
The Community Forum is a valuable opportunity for our various Upper Hunter community stakeholders to join together, hear updates on key Dialogue projects and have your say on issues impacting the region.
The Forum also provides you an opportunity to tell us what you think are the priority issues in the Upper Hunter, any concerns you might have about mining and how we might be able to work together to address them.
The 2024 Community Forum will cover the issues that are front of mind for the community. Many of these themes follow on from the discussions at our 2022 Forum in Muswellbrook which focused on ‘Planning for the Future’.
We’ll explore the regional economic outlook and future of coal, and discuss post-mining land use and other topical issues focused on the future of the Upper Hunter region, alongside updates on the environmentally-focused issues of water stewardship, air quality, and mine rehabilitation.
Registrations are now open, so we encourage all stakeholders to register today to secure your spot.
