The Dialogue recently announced the winners of their 2023 Christmas in the Classroom competition.

The competition was offered to all schools who participated in the Dialogue’s 2023 School Mine Tours Program. 8 primary and secondary schools across the Upper Hunter took up the opportunity and received a $150 ‘buy local’ gift card to help decorate their classrooms.

The top prize was taken out by the students at St Mary’s Primary School in Scone. Second place went to Muswellbrook High School Support Unit and third place to Jerrys Plains Public School.

The Dialogue rewards the top three Christmas decoration projects, with “Buy Local” gift cards – first place $750, second place $500 and third place $250, to be used on a school project of their choice.

The competition aims to help local schools showcase the festive season while supporting businesses within the school’s local government area.
