Upper Hunter Mining Dialogue discusses engagement strategy and environmental projects

The Upper Hunter Mining Dialogue’s Communications Working Group met this week to discuss progress made on addressing the recommendations from last year’s Engagement and Communications Review.

The Dialogue secretariat also provided an update on key environmental projects, notably the Air Quality Analysis Update for the 2023 calendar year.

The Committee discussed a set of infographics designed to communicate key results and ensure information is more accessible for a wider audience.

Following the success of last year’s Pasture Restoration Field Day, members also endorsed holding further field days on mine closure and transition, rehabilitation and alternative post mining land uses, air quality and water stewardship.

The committee also discussed the Community Forum to be held in October and agreed on key topics and ideas for the presentations.
