2024 Water Accounting Report

The Dialogue has finalised the annual report on rehabilitation progress, with 2024 results showing that industry remains committed to progressively restoring land disturbed by mining in the Upper Hunter. 2023 Results

Summary The latest rehabilitation results show that in 2023, 962 hectares of land were newly rehabilitated (up from 529 hectares in 2022). Around 14,400 hectares of total land are under rehabilitation, with 35% of the total disturbed land under rehabilitation at the end of the reporting period.
